Jeka Play About Us

Vision

Our vision is to continue to build the collective of freelancers and creatives that work collaboratively across Enjoy EY and Jeka Play to create an entrepreneurial eco-system that provides needed solutions to the social economic issues within our communities. Specifically those that effect the most disadvantaged children and families.

Mission

Across our companies we are on a mission to use the delivery of high quality environment design and education as a driver for social mobility. Part of achieving this goal is to become the go-to provider for working with community leaders, organisations and entrepreneurs within the early years sector who want to develop inclusive and sustainable community based businesses that advocate for the unique child.

It is also our hope that our skilfully crafted toys and furniture inspire the next generation of inventors, cabinet makers and carpenters whilst providing high quality learning environments.

Our Achievements

We are thrilled to announce that we have been funded by the National Lottery to create our first model of a Community Creche which will serve the Bexley/Greenwich area of South East London. This facility will deliver various parental support workshops whilst providing childcare in our funded Creche facility to help take away the barrier to attendance faced by parents

Our Journey

Established in 2016 with the idea of the Jeka Play shelf sketched on a post it note, I am very proud of what this company has grown to be today.

Having worked in early education for over 20 years in various roles, including as a Primary teacher, Local authority adviser, Independent consultant and for OFSTED as an inspector, Jeka Play represents my more recent journey into the world of invention and manufacture.

As a mum of two, my passion for designing safe learning environments for children and their families is a key part of being part of solving societal issues that impact parental and child wellbeing.

Whether I am working to improving community cohesion, the quality of inadequate nurseries or maximising flexible childcare options, across my companies and those we collaborate with, we are fully committed to ensuring that all children and their parents experience no less than the best that early years has to offer.
